California Regional MLS and MLSListings Inc. Sign Data Share Agreement

“Barrier-free” Exposure for Southern California and Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area Listings

San Dimas and Sunnyvale, CA; December 3, 2015 – California Regional MLS (CRMLS) has signed a data share agreement with MLSListings Inc., located in the Greater Bay Area of Northern California.
In this new agreement, CRMLS and MLSListings will share listing data directly, allowing real estate professionals of each multiple listing service access to the other’s listing data and exposure for their listings to nearly 100,000 brokers and agents. Both MLSListings and CRMLS currently use the Matrix system, so the integration of listing data should be smooth, with little or no effect on the user experience. The new partnership will bring over 8,000 active listings to CRMLS’s database of over 80,000, including listings from other data share agreements.
This reciprocal data sharing agreement is representative of the type of change CRMLS seeks to foster in the real estate community through the “It’s My Business” campaign. CRMLS CEO Art Carter states, “CRMLS is constantly striving to break down barriers to data sharing throughout the state of California. The addition of MLSListings’ data from the San Francisco Bay Area is another constructive step toward our goal, and we hope this new agreement will encourage other MLSs to join the movement.”
MLSListings has been leading the charge in data share agreements in northern California for the past decade. “Our goal is to create a broker-centric, business-advantage environment. Data share does that with listings exposure and barrier-free data,” said James Harrison, President and CEO of MLSListings Inc. “We are pleased to bring southern California opportunities to Silicon Valley and the greater Bay Area.”
Data migration will begin during Thanksgiving week, and is scheduled to be complete by November 27. The anticipated timeline for the data share to go live is December 7.
