In short, speed to market. Collaborating with an organization of (Bright’s) (CRMLS’s) size will make it possible for us to eliminate redundant technologies and develop and launch the real estate solutions that you need much faster.
To start, we will complete a data share agreement enabling us to explore the power of a larger, shared data set. Soon after, we will work to identify ways we can eliminate redundant technologies. Other key deliverables include improvements to technical systems offering an enhanced user experience and a customer-facing website for both organizations. 
This is not a merger. It’s a collaboration agreement between the two organizations. 
The data share is a way for us to align and begin exploring the power and possibility of our shared data.  The combination of the size of Bright and CRMLS’s data uniquely positions us to be able to evaluate future offerings and consider overall innovation both teams can drive by working together. While some Brokers and agents may find value in viewing listings on either coast, that is not the initial goal or directive. 
Yes, Bright and CRMLS continue to work with MRED in Chicago on the Showing Hub functionality. Prior to Bright as an organization, the MLSs that created Bright worked together and partnered through technologies.
