Ventura County Regional Data Share Reinstitutes Direct Data Share with California Regional MLS
SAN DIMAS, CALIFORNIA, May 5, 2017 – California Regional MLS (CRMLS) has signed a new data share agreement with Ventura County Regional Data Share (VCRDS).
In this new agreement, CRMLS and VCRDS will share listing data directly, allowing real estate professionals belonging to either MLS to view the other’s listing data through their usual point of access. CRMLS subscribers will again have access to listings from the Ventura County Coastal & Conejo Simi Moorpark AORs, and VCRDS subscribers will gain access to the CRMLS database of over 100,000 active California property listings.
“We are very excited to rekindle a data share agreement with VCRDS,” said Art Carter, CEO of CRMLS. “Our previous partnership was mutually beneficial to agents and brokers of both MLSs, as well as to home buyers and sellers in Ventura County and across the state. This agreement represents another step in the right direction toward breaking down artificial barriers to data access for all California real estate professionals.”
“VCCAR is committed to providing our members all possible avenues to grow their business,” said Lyle Elliott, 2017 President of Ventura County Coastal Association of REALTORS. “The data share with CRMLS will support that strategy and provide members with more data and more options. We look forward to the reestablishment of this important data share.”
“CSMAR and VCRDS are excited about the re-creation of our data share with CRMLS through our current MLS vendor,” said Debbie Hake, 2017 President of Conejo Simi Moorpark Association of REALTORS. “We regret the interruption during our recent MLS conversion and look forward to growth in data availability for our agents and, ultimately, the clients we serve.”
CRMLS enters into this and other data share agreements to enhance MLS services for its subscribing brokers and agents by providing them access to as much current and accurate MLS listing data as possible. CRMLS will continue efforts to expand access to MLS listing data across the State of California in accordance with the charge of its “It’s My Business” campaign for statewide listing access. The campaign seeks to take advantage of current technologies to the benefit of all California real estate professionals, eliminating the need to join multiple MLSs or utilize multiple points of access.
